Dear Fairy Tale Exchange Creator,

I have matched up ships and additional tags that I think would work well together. However, feel free to match up any ship and additional tag requested under the same fandom together. Similar additional tags have been grouped together.

In addition, if you choose to write/draw for Ragnarok, RWBY, or Tales of Arcadia, I have written a previous Dear Creator letter that covers those thee fandoms. It furture illustrates things I like, even though this letter was written for a non-fairy tale exchange.

Ragnarok Waived DNW

• Incest. I waive this DNW only for cases involving a combination of Fjor, Ran, Saxa, and/or Vidar if the fanwork takes place in a canon/canon-esque universe, since in canon (if I interpreted it correctly) the four Jutuls are not biologically related, but are rather merely pretending to be such. However, I would prefer if you keep any Saxa/other Jutul ships to the background. (Or alternatively, keep it to an evil romantic rival, if the fairy tale you're basing your fanwork off of requires an evil romantic rival.) Incest in universes where the Jutul's are related by blood, or universes where they see each other as siblings or parent/child, is still a DNW. Likewise, incest involving any characters outside of those four is still a DNW.

I feel like Beauty and the Beast as well as The Little Mermaid both have elements to them that could mirror their canon relationship. That being said, feel free to do a wholesome version of those fairy tales as well.

Specific to Beauty and the Beast, I could see the rest of the La Sirena crew rushing in to save Agnes, though who knows if she actually needs saving. Also, fanartists! You know that one tweet from the Borg Queen's actress, where she and Agnes's actress posed to look like the Borg Queen and Agnes were slow dancing? Maybe you could redraw that pose but with Agnes and the Borg Queen dressed like Disney's rendition of Belle and the Beast?

Specific to The Little Mermaid, I could see Agnes as a mermaid who saves Cristobal, thinks she's in love with him, makes a contract with a sea witch known as the Borg Queen (maybe becoming human requires partial assimilation?), only to realize she's in love with the Borg Queen instead and she'd rather just be friends with Cristobal?

• I have several NOTP's for this series (as listed below), but many of them are canon. With canon NOTP's they can be mentioned but should be kept to the background, if you need a fair; noncanon NOTP's shouldn't be mentioned at all. That being said, if you need a villain for the fairy tale in the form of an evil romantic rival to the requested ship, then the ships marked with a * I will accept as the evil romantic rival. That being said, if you choose to go this route, DO NOT bash people who like my NOTP, and do something in the tags, summary, or beginning author's note to alert readers that this is a fic or fanart for my requested pairing and thus this fic will be portraying my NOTP negatively.

• - I know that in canon it's described as breaking the laws of physics, but Krel's wormhole does not break the laws of physics. The faster-than-light travel and communcation that Akiridions already had does break the laws of physics. Please avoid stating that Krel broke the laws of physics; it's a pet peeve for me as a physicist.
• Please avoid stating anything about changing the past; according to current physics theories on time travel the past cannot be changed, and Wizards also implies that the past wasn't actually changed despite characters fearing it would be.
• Given how Jim's named after his dad, I don't want Jim to be a trans boy. Other trans headcanons (including trans girl!Jim and AMAB nonbinary!Jim) are fine.

Otherwise, fanartists! Prior to Wizards coming out, I wrote a oneshot collection that was basically "child Douxie accidentally killed his dad. When he tried to bring his dad back from the dead, he instead accidentally stuck his dad's soul in that of a cat. Archie does not know that Douxie is is son, nor that he used to be human." If this intruiges you, have a readthrough and consider drawing a scene from the fic.

I am a sucker (no pun intended) for the trope of a vampire desperately going against their need to drink blood, to avoid hurting their loved one, only for their loved one to willingly offer their blood to save the vampire. Maybe, to be awkwardly romantic, once the vampire has drank enough they pull away, but the human is lightheaded enough that they don't think about the fact that no, they haven't confessed their feelings yet, and then they kiss the vampire before passing out (the vampire catches them before they can hit their head or anything because passing out from blood loss sucks).

On the other hand, vampire hunters are also very good.

Fanartists, I have written a vampire AU for Clairy, Claire & Morgana, and Douxie & Claire. Be warned that the latter two relationships are only covered in the third fic, which is rated M for violence and mind control. If this strikes your fancy, have fun drawing a scene from it.
