Treats (including art treats) are welcomed! Here are my art likes.
General DNW
- Sexual content
- Incest
- Brain/skull trauma (including neurosurgery)
- Adult/Minor with a 5+ year gap
- Cheating
- Bashing of requested characters
- Bodily waste (i.e. vomit, fecal matter, etc.)
- Gore in fanart (graphic violence in fanfic is great as long as it's below the neck)
General Likes
- Aspec character coming out to allo love interest(s) and receiving support from their love interest(s)
- Aspec character coming out to seemingly-allo love interest(s) only for said seemingly-allo love interest(s) to also be aspec
- AU's set in the creator's workspace (i.e. if the author is a marine biologist they write an AU where the characters are marine biologists. Teach me all about the stuff you do!)
- Ballet AU's
- Comforting each other from nightmares
- Fusion with other requested fandom - give me the RGU characters as superheroes in the world of Masks, or turn the Khyber Shards characters into magical girls from Sleepless Domain. Or do some other combination!
- Kissing to hide from bad guys
- Mind control in which the mind control victim's loved ones need to break them out of it as well as the aftermath of having been forced to hurt one's loved ones
- Magical girl AU's (magical "girl" characters need not be female)
- Proposal/engagement
- Sci-fi AU's
- Soulmate AU's
- Steampunk AU's
- Winter Soldier AU
- When the strong character finally gets to break down sobbing and be comforted
hopeless fountain kingdom
Tell me more about the prophecy. Tell me more about the girls that Luna ran away with, and about her relationship with Rosa. (I love all the potential F/F ships in this.)
In art, I'd love to see red/gold gradients, bee motifs, and angel wing motifs.
Masks: A New Generation
Legacy x Scion sounds like it could be a fun ship, especially if the scion's parent and the legacy's family were enemies.
A fun character concept for a Transformed is a Legacy gone wrong, or maybe the Legacy's sibling who got changed.
Worldbuilders: I'm most interested in A.E.G.I.S. (partly bc I'm running an A.E.G.I.S.-based play-by-post), but I'd also like to see stuff on licensing of superheroes (does it pay the bills?)
A potential crossover that'd be fun is if you took the New 52 version of Princess Amaya of Gemworld, and see how she'd interact with Halcyon City.
Khyber Shards
Where should people start & respective prompts
Since the show is complete, I suggest the beginning so you can get the full experience. Episode two will introduce all the requested characters. Do note that there is a slight echo (two players are in one room), and one player accidentally named his character a slur (it got retconned immediately when the player discovered this, but the audio from the episodes before the retcon was not edited to no longer include the slur). If this is an issue for you but you still want to watch as much as possible, then I would suggest instead that you watch the first 10 minutes and 21 seconds of this recap, and then start watching from 15:10 of this episode. That episode still contains all of the requested characters. I'd say that the episode after this one is also where the show really starts to feel like an X-Men story as opposed to more generic fantasy about people oppressed for their powers.
I would still suggest skipping over the KSA episodes unless either 1) you were confused about something (maybe someone else was confused and asked about it) or 2) it's an NPC Q&A episode, which are delightful looks into the NPC's lives outside of the player characters and provide foreshadowing.
If you're a worldbuilder that already knows Eberron, consider checking out this episode instead. It has massive spoilers for the rest of the series, but there's a massive timeskip that changes the entire world (except for maybe Sarlona). There are plenty of gaps left open, and the DM even encourages fanfic detailing the worldbuilding. That being said, I wouldn't recommend starting here if you prefer focusing on characters.
Prompts for those who only watched the first two episodes
- Slice of life at Blackwheel for Shade, Ari, Esri, and Pog. Did they all share one room, or did they all have their own rooms? (Minor related spoiler in white text; highlight to view: Esri keeps his eyes open (and glowing) and talks in an alien language when he sleeps. This is normal for his species.) What was the mess hall like? Did they have friends on other teams? If yes, how did they mourn those friends after Blackwheel?
- So what was the truth behind the rumors about Thora's team? Did they really have such a cool training room? Given the mechanics of 5e, it shouldn't have been possible for them to defeat all the trolls, minotaurs, and medusas that Ari described, at least not all at once. What was the actual battle like? In addition to Daine, Thora's team included a sniper called Kieran, a brilliant artificer called Lonnie, and a
wizardarcane support called Sorana. Sorana was also Daine's girlfriend. (This only got revealed in an NPC Q&A; spelling was not revealed.) - Hurt/comfort in which Daine helps Thora cope with the burn.
- Spy X Family AU where Thora is Twilight, Daine is Yor, and Esri or Ari is Anya.
- Art prompt: Blackwheel recruitment poster. Bonus points if you include both an in-tact copy and a burnt copy (poor Thora)
- Burn Notice AU where Thora is Michael and Daine is Fiona
Prompts for those who only watched episodes 37 & 38
- Missing scene: Thora finding out that the PC's got captured and getting ready to rescue them.
- AU where Thora was too late and the PC's had to break out mid-transport. Maybe Thora still ends up saving them, or maybe she can continue to work from the shadows.
- AU where instead of going to Stormreach, the PC's (and later Thora) went to the other pirate area of Eberron: the Lhazaar Principalities. Instead of starting a school, Thora wants to carve out territory for the Tarkanan Principality.
Prompts for those who only watched episode 173
- What's up with Zilargo, Droaam, and Dargun? I wouldn't classify any of them as being in Northern Khorvaire nor the Shadow Marches, so did they relocate to join the Galifar Alliance? Did they submit to Cul'Sir?
- How does the Aberrant Resistance HQ get food? Do they have an underground greenhouse and/or barn for livestock? Are they somehow growing crops/livestock in the Mournland? Is there a druid whose entire role is to make a ton of goodberries? Is Malcom's primary role trading Cyran goods for food?
- The Galifar Alliance is stated to be heavily anti-aberrant. What are their policies? From the wrap-up Q&A, we learned that Arlo (teacher at Greymalkin Academy, changeling, mark is damaging color-coded energy), Mo (former student from Greymalkin Academy, gnome, mark causes his head to glow and potentially blind people), and Cadroc's parents are all working for the Aberrant Resistance while in the Galifar Alliance.
- What is life like for Esri? How complicit is he in everything going on?
- Tell me more about the relationship between the Blades and the Aberrant Resistance.
Suggested / ships for requested characters; ships with an asterisk (*) are ships that I like as queerplatonic as well as romantic (if you don't like these ships, don't worry! I also love gen):
- Shade/Ari*
- Shade/Esri*
- Esri/Shade/Ari*
- Ari/Avia d'Vadalis (Bonus points if (spoilers for the Blackbriar arc; highlight to view) Ari starts by trying to court Avia to continue spying on the Houses, and Thora has to give him a crash-course in how to do a honeypot mission. Extra bonus points if Thora is arospec and thus has no advice for what to do if you fall in love with the target.)
- Thora/Arlo
- Thora/Arabella
- Thora/Daine* (preferably post-episode 38)
- Thora/Arlo/Arabella
- Cardaen/Thora (preferably in an AU where (episode 167 spoilers; highlight to view) Thora's despair was caused by magical/psychic manipulation, and thus these two bond over shared trauma)
You know the AU's sometimes seen on the covers, like the boxer AU or the superhero AU? Expand those!
Worldbuilders, I'd especially like to see one of the following:
- Detail magical girls as an industry. Is there a line of clothing based on some girls' costumes?
- What's the backstory of the City? What was it like in Mitski's time and earlier?
- What's up with the fish?
- Are there survivors outside the City? How do they live?
Revolutionary Girl Utena
Reunions! I love reunions so much for this fandom. How do the characters meet again when they're all adults? How well do they remember Ohtori?
Reincarnation AU: what if the student council and Utena are stuck coming back to Ohtori over and over again? Alternatively, what if Utena is the first truly new duelist in a long time?
I ship Juri/Shiori, Anthy/Utena, Anthy/Utena/Wakaba, Nanami/Anthy/Utena, and Wakaba/Saionji.
This is How You Lose the Time War
Crossovers
I love the idea of another canon happening the way it canonically happens as a result of Red and/or Blue meddling. (Note: you don't need to include both Red and Blue if you're doing a crossover.)You can do crossovers with any of the other fandoms I've requested here; I've even requested Red/Blue/Luna Aureum (hopeless fountain kingdom) in the past. Alternatively, I've requested Blue & Elizabeth Cole (American Girls: Felicity) and Blue & Tandri (Legends & Lattes) in the past. I also think crossovers with Disney's Mulan and the series My Sister the Vampire would work quite well. (If you go w/the latter of those two suggestions, maybe you could do something involving the Romeo and Juliet but with aliens and androids play that happened in book 7?)
Post-canon domestic fluff is wonderful.
Art like: red-to-blue gradients. If you portray them as human, I prefer butch!Red and femme!Blue. Otherwise, go crazy in your interpretations.
